After a busy few weeks away working on some exciting new projects at Meglio HQ, we’re back! To celebrate our return, we’re bringing you a brand new blog feature, ‘Athlete Profile’.
A short time ago we spoke to Team GB Age Group & Team Dillon star, Lori Westcott, about her recent sporting success. After picking up 1st prize at last months, Marlow Classic Triathlon, we decided to catch up with the winner and find out a little bit more about her story.
Lori has been on the recovery trail since fracturing her elbow whilst training in Mallorca. A week after picking up 3rd place at the Windsor Triathlon, Lori decided to enter the Marlow event at the very last minute; picking up victory after only competing once before at this race distance. First out of water, first off the bike and a winners medal at the end. A perfect way to finish following injury. Now into its 9th year and featuring a fantastic Half Iron Distance event, The Marlow Classic Triathlon is certainly an event not to be missed in the future.
Lori is now back in full training following her injury and is currently preparing for her next event in Lanzarote this September. She said “I am super excited to have an 8 week summer holiday to train like a full time athlete, including two weeks training at Club La Santa at the beginning of August”.
